  • Entry on to the DHTA website which is actively updated and marketed, linking to your own websites so it acts as a link for potential customers



  • For accommodation providers the DHTA provides its own Quality Inspection Scheme, inspection is essential to be recommended by the TICs and to advertise in the annual Essential Devon brochure which markets the region across the country.



  • Members receive a generous discount on the cost of advertising in the Essential Devon guide.



  • Members receive a 10% discount on display advertising in the Tiverton and Crediton Tourist Information Centres.



  • A regular newsletter ‘The Tourism Times’ is circulated to all members and keeps you up to date on DHTA activities, regional and national tourism policy, training opportunities and local tourism news



  • The DHTA provides financial support to both Crediton and Tiverton TIC’s who provide accommodation booking services for local accommodation and sell transport, attraction and theatre tickets. Members can also use the TIC credit card facilities if they have none themselves.



  • The DHTA represents member’s interests to the local council and the Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership, ensuring that the importance of tourism to the local economy of the area is taken fully into account.



  • Members are invited to attend networking events and training seminars in order to share best practice and advice with other members and keep their knowledge and skills up to date.



  • Advice and support to members on a variety of issues is offered whenever needed, which is especially useful if you are new to the area or new to the tourism industry.
