Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life

Created in 1960 and completely refurbished in 2001, The Museum Collection - the largest of its kind in the South West - is mainly housed in a Grade II listed building, originally the National School and compromises fifteen galleries; the collections include Agriculture, Transport, Industry, Crafts and Domestic Life in Mid Devon. The Transport Gallery has been completely redisplayed and is now open again after a years transformation. It contains a full size GWR/Steam locomotive, much GWR memorabilia, sections on Road Transport and the Grand Western Canal. Open Monday to Friday 10.30-4.30, Saturday 1.00-4.00 - February to Christmas.
